Membership
One of the benefits of working as a faculty member for the CSU is membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS). This organization provides retirement and health benefits to more than 1.6 million public employees, retirees, and their families and more than 2,500 employers. California State University faculty members have benefits negotiated as part of the employment contract.
